Domestic flights operate out of the Brisbane Airport domestic terminal. Check in is on the ground floor, and most airline counters open 1.5 hours before your flight is scheduled to leave. Domestic flights will depart from the gates in the departure lounge.

International Check In

International flights operate out of the Brisbane Airport international terminal. Check in is on level 4, and most airline counters will open 3 hours before your flight departure time. Make sure you have your passport, departing passenger card and any other important travel documents such as tickets or booking reference number with you as you go to check in.

You will need to pass through international security and Customs before you reach your boarding gate. You should allow at least 20 minutes to clear these check points.

If you’re transferring to a connecting flight and have time to spare between flights, consider storing your baggage in the baggage lockers and taking a trip to Brisbane city and exploring the area. The Brisbane Botanical Gardens, South Bank Parklands and Brisbane River are all close by.

Visiting Brisbane and Ipswich

Our local chauffeurs are very knowledgeable about the Brisbane and Ipswich areas, so if you need some recommendations about how to spend your time while you are visiting, make sure you ask them for some tips.

There’s plenty to see and do in Brisbane and its surrounds. The city, South Bank and Fortitude Valley are bustling inner city hubs with an array of diverse dining and shopping experiences. Or if you feel like immersing yourself in some culture, the museums, art galleries and performing arts centres always have a cycle of fascinating exhibitions and productions to choose from.

You can also take a trip to the outer urban precincts of Kangaroo Point, Roma Street Parkland, New Farm or West End for a unique blend of the vibrant outdoors, trendy cafes and restaurants, and eclectic boutique and vintage shopping.

Ipswich is just 40km west of the Brisbane CBD, making day trips or overnight stays a fantastic option. The urban charm and open green spaces of Queensland’s oldest provincial city has been attracting visitors for decades, and you can enjoy the best that nature has to offer amongst the 5000 hectares of beautiful parkland and conservation estates that are perfect for picnicking, hiking or horse riding.

As an emerging cosmopolitan centre, there is also a wide range of quirky dining options for you to sample around the city. And history, leisure and the arts can all be found in the stunning vineyards, art galleries and shopping precincts that Ipswich has developed into a culture all of its own.
